Featuring the following Aussie Single Malt Whiskies:
NED Whisky – Australian Whisky. 40% ABV.
The Honour of NED begins with a rich orange and caramel scents, moving into oak, raisins and vanilla. The taste is a sweet and rich oak with plenty of power and length. With hints of chocolate, orange peel and vanilla toasted moving into sweet Christmas cake. It has a great balance with a pleasant smooth heat.
Adelaide Hills Distillery – 78deg Australian Whisky. 44% ABV
This whisky has been created to be uniquely Australian from single paddock grain. Not replicated, but innovated. Sweet notes of caramel and vanilla, along with dried fruits, such as fig and apricot. A faint whiff of something more bready like freshly baked fruit cake and some obvious spice notes of cinnamon, ginger and vanilla. A lingering spicy finish, with a spike of sweet caramel and vanilla right at the end.
Starward Whisky Distillery – Nova Single Malt Whisky. 41% ABV
A fruity, double distilled single malt made with Australian barley and craft brewers’ yeast for extra flavour. Lightly charred or steamed barrels sourced from Australian wineries making great shiraz, cabernets and pinot noirs. Often filled fresh when the barrel is still wet with wine. Matured in Melbourne’s wildly varied climate for three years. Exceptional length thanks to the red wine barrels. Bright aromatic notes of red berries, orchard fruits, vanilla, caramel and soft oak spice. Smooth and complex when sipped neat.
