It doesn’t get much more classic than a Manhattan in the cocktail world. It is the all-round heavyweight champion of the bar scene.
INGREDIENTS
- 60ml bourbon or rye whisky
- 30ml sweet vermouth
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Orange peel, to serve
- Amarena cherries, to serve
METHOD
Place all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled. Rub the orange peel around the rim of a coupe or martini glass, then fill with chilled mixture. Garnish with amarena cherries and orange peel.
