The Whiskies

The Nant Distillery- Single Malt, Single Sherry Cask. 43% ABV

Sherry and dried stone fruits are noticeable on the nose, with an aroma of a cabinet full of nuts, spices and figs reminiscent of an older time. On the tongue, old books(!) and tobacco soaked in sherry are present, along with hand-rolled cigarettes, citrus, toffee, and sweet vanilla. Impeccably smooth with a woody, nutty tobacco finish this is a very easy drinking whisky. 43% ABV

Joadja Distillery – Single Malt Whisky, Pedro Ximenez & Oloroso Sherry Cask. 48% ABV

A strong believe that whisky should reflect the land on which the barley is grown and where the water is sourced has led to Joadja’s second barley crop (Dec 2018) and their 2nd true “paddock to bottle” release. Very few distilleries in the world grow their own barley and use on-site pristine water. This single malt has been aged in ex-Pedro Ximenex sherry casks from Spain, hand-selected from the family’s origin in Spain. A most authentic Australian whisky. A future of sweet sherry bombs! 48% ABV

McHenry Distillery – Tas 7 yo Single Malt Whisky – “Rowdy Cowboy”, Cask Strength. 55.5% ABV

We have been blessed to receive this release – named “Rowdy Cowboy”. Aged for 7 years in American oak Bourbon barrel. Strong notes of apple and fig on the nose. Very strong Citrus notes on the front of pallet fading out into more caramel vanilla at the back, left with quite a sweet aftertaste finish. 55.5% ABV.
